Partner Solutions Engineer

About The Position

YouLend is seeking a Partner Solutions Engineer in Atlanta to expand implementation capacity and provide US-time zone coverage for North American partners. This is a partner-facing technical role focused on owning partner integrations end-to-end. You will work with various partners, including payments providers, e-commerce platforms, SaaS businesses, banks, and marketplaces, to help them launch and scale embedded funding solutions. Responsibilities include leading technical discovery, running workshops, shaping integration approaches, guiding trade-offs, supporting technical presales, and acting as a key escalation point during delivery. The role also involves light implementation coordination and delivery hygiene in the US time zone, such as tracking status, tickets, risks, and readiness, and coordinating cutover and hypercare communications. This position is part of YouLend’s implementation function, which handles technical and product presales, new partner implementations and expansions, and support for existing partners. You will collaborate closely with Commercial, Product, Engineering, Operations, and Risk teams, serving as a named technical owner for US-based partner work.

Requirements

  • Experience in a Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, Implementation Engineer, Solutions Architect, or similar partner/customer-facing technical role.
  • Strong API and integration fundamentals, including HTTP, REST, JSON, authentication, and webhooks, with practical experience using tools such as Postman, Datadog or other logs/monitoring tools, and basic SQL for troubleshooting and investigation.
  • Strong technical understanding and experience working with software engineers.
  • A track record of owning technical partner or customer deliveries through to go-live, including running technical discovery sessions and workshops with external stakeholders.
  • The ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both engineers and senior commercial stakeholders.
  • Strong judgment in shaping solution design and trade-offs, especially where there is a balance between MVP delivery and future scale.
  • Confidence managing ambiguity and moving work forward across multiple internal and external teams.
  • Excellent written communication, including producing clear implementation updates, action tracking, risk summaries, and solution documentation.
  • Good delivery discipline: you keep actions moving, maintain implementation hygiene, and flag risks or delays early alongside practical options.
  • A collaborative style and comfort working cross-functionally with Commercial, Product, Engineering, Operations, and Risk teams.
  • A bias to action and a practical, partner/client-oriented mindset.

Nice To Haves

  • Have worked in fintech, payments, lending, or banking.
  • Have experience supporting platform or distribution-led go-to-market models rather than direct-to-customer sales.
  • Are comfortable working with a modular product where partners may launch quickly via an off the shelf solution and deepen integration over time.
  • Have supported embedded product journeys, authentication flows such as SAML 2.0 or OIDC, or complex partner-specific integration models.
  • Can combine strong technical depth with calm, credible partner-facing communication, and enjoy bringing structure and momentum to partner implementations rather than only providing technical advice.
  • Care about improving internal processes, standardizing patterns, and making future launches faster and easier.
  • Are energized by giving a commercial team confidence in presales while also making delivery smoother after signature and want to play a foundational role in strengthening YouLend’s US implementation presence and partner responsiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Own partner integrations end-to-end for US-based and North American partners, particularly API-based implementations, from discovery and solution design through launch and early post-go-live support.
  • Act as the primary technical contact for partners, running workshops to understand partner architecture, workflows, data availability, authentication models, and commercial or operational constraints.
  • Recommend fit-for-purpose integration models across referral, hybrid, embedded component, and fully embedded approaches.
  • Work closely with Product and Engineering to translate partner requirements into workable solutions, unblock delivery issues, and troubleshoot integration problems using logs, API payloads, error responses, and partner-provided evidence.
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex partner issues where commercial, operational, and technical context all matter.
  • Provide implementation discipline in US hours by keeping tickets, status updates, risks, dependencies, and actions current, and by coordinating readiness checks, launch planning, cutover communications, and hyper care support.
  • Help standardize repeatable implementation patterns, improve documentation and tooling, reduce time-to-launch, and feed partner insights back into YouLend’s modular integration offering.
