Partner Sales Director

Braze•New York, NY
•$149,000 - $234,000

About The Position

The Partner Sales Director owns the direct partner sales motion for a specific territory in AMER. The role aligns Braze’s Technology, Delivery, and Marketplace partners with the needs of high-value customers and prospects, including complex accounts involving GSIs, specialist SIs, senior partner executives, and executive sponsors. The Director sets the partner strategy for the territory and serves as a resource for Partner Sales Managers and Senior Partner Sales Managers in the region. The position reports to the AVP, Partner Sales AMER. The role focuses on building pipeline and improving customer outcomes by connecting partner capabilities to customer and prospect needs. This involves deep account and partner mapping, activating partners on live opportunities, supporting customer value and retention, developing joint business plans, advising Sales leadership, and building durable executive relationships. The Director influences AEs, partners, AMs, CSMs, and Sales leadership without formal authority and contributes territory insights to broader partner coverage strategy. Braze describes its culture as collaborative, approachable, and fast-moving, with an emphasis on autonomy, accountability, diverse perspectives, teamwork, and work-life harmony. The position qualifies for a Total Rewards package that includes equity grants. For U.S.-based candidates, the stated starting base pay range is $89,400–$140,400 per year, with expected OTE of $149,000–$234,000 per year, including bonus or commission. Compensation may vary based on location, knowledge, skills, and experience.

  • A point of view on martech architecture and composability, and the ability to explain how a partner can add value to a customer.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a territory-owning, high-agency role without a large team.
  • Experience building senior, executive-level partner relationships and influencing Sales leadership without a direct reporting line.

  • Build and run complex, high-stakes joint business plans with priority partners and Partner Account Directors, including shared targets, stakeholders, and review cadence.
  • Advise Sales leadership on the partner landscape in the territory and proactively identify partner-related assets or risks on specific deals.
  • Build long-term relationships with partner executives and executive sponsors, grounded in a point of view on martech architecture and customer value from composability.
  • Coach Account Executives on partner engagement, including incumbent partner knowledge, timing, and execution of partner sales motions.
  • Identify partner coverage gaps in the territory and lead efforts to address them, contributing insights to the AVP and Partnerships team.
