About The Position

Immanuel Pathways PACE is hiring a Participant Care Aide at Pathways Southwest Iowa in Council Bluffs, Iowa. The role provides and assists program participants with personal care, activities of daily living, restorative and recreational programming, and supportive care in the center and/or participants’ homes. The aide helps monitor and report participants’ health status and maintain a safe environment.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with in-home care on an eighth-weekend rotation. Travel is reimbursed at $0.725 per mile. Pay is up to $22.06 per hour and is based on experience, certifications, skills, and education. A background check and drug screen are required before hire.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active Certified Nursing Assistant certificate in the state of employment.
• At least 18 years of age.
• One year of experience working with frail or elderly people, or completion of job-specific training related to working with the elderly within the first six months of hire.
• Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and a reliable personal vehicle.
• Background check and drug screen required before hire.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
