About The Position

The Participant Advisor provides operational support to staff and participants within the recovery housing program. This part-time position is primarily scheduled during daytime hours, Monday through Friday, and helps ensure daily operations run smoothly by assisting with participant support, property oversight, supply coordination, and transportation. This role allows case management staff to focus on direct participant services while maintaining safe, organized, and well-functioning program facilities.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of recovery principles, trauma-informed practices, and supportive housing environments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build positive working relationships with participants, staff, and community partners.
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to identify and report maintenance, safety, and participant concerns appropriately.
  • Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle and transport supplies or participants as assigned.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including email and electronic documentation.
  • Ability to solve problems, exercise sound judgment, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to provide courteous, respectful, and participant-focused support in a fast-paced environment.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer skills, including email and documentation systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in recovery services, behavioral health, social services, housing programs, or peer support.
  • Knowledge of recovery principles and trauma-informed care.

Responsibilities

  • Check mailboxes and secure drop boxes at all program properties.
  • Purchase and deliver program and participant supplies.
  • Distribute mail, documents, and other materials to the appropriate locations.
  • Assist with room readiness, move-ins, and general property preparation.
  • Conduct daily chore inspections at program properties.
  • Report maintenance and safety concerns to the appropriate staff.
  • Provide transportation assistance for participant-related needs, as assigned.
  • Perform other related duties to support program operations.
