About The Position

This position is located within the PARKS department, at the Kennworth Tennis Center. The role involves performing customer service functions, processing registrations for various tennis center activities, preparing facilities for daily use, and maintaining attendance and punctuality. The job also includes other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • One year of work experience that shows an ability to maintain steady employment in any field.

Nice To Haves

  • A background in tennis, as a player, coach, or USTA official.
  • Experience working with or volunteering for tennis organizations such as; USTA or Alta.

Responsibilities

  • Performs customer service functions: provides information or assistance regarding services, activities on the phone and in person, forms, procedures, fees, or other issues; responds to routine questions and complaints; researches problems and initiates problem resolution; and refers complaints/problems to appropriate personnel.
  • Processes participant registrations, court reservations, tournament registrations, and other scheduled services and events: receives requests for classes, court times, or other scheduled services; reviews registration forms for accuracy and completeness; enters information into online database and calendars; collects and records fees; and maintains related documentation.
  • Prepares facilities according to daily schedule: opens and closes facility; unlocks and locks doors; turns lights on or off; disarms and sets alarm; moves, sets up, and tears down tables, chairs, etc.; and performs routine cleaning duties such as emptying trash, sweeping floors, etc.
  • Maintains attendance and punctuality within customary tolerances for this position.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
