About The Position

Comprehensive Mobile Care (CMC) is seeking a Part-Time Optometrist (OD) to deliver high-quality vision care across multiple New Mexico communities. This is a clinic-based role where you’ll function as an extension of established outpatient teams serving senior populations. This opportunity offers flexibility, autonomy, and full administrative support, without the overhead of running your own practice. This is a traveling optometrist role, and candidates must be comfortable driving up to 4 hours to assigned clinic locations. The opportunity operates within a community-based outpatient clinic model with full-time clinic staff on-site, organized scheduling and patient flow, a coordinated, team-based care environment, and a value-based model focused on seniors. CMC manages equipment, supplies, scheduling, and billing, allowing the optometrist to focus entirely on delivering high-quality vision care. This is not a high-volume retail model; optometrists are integrated into established clinic environments and represent CMC directly within each partner location, emphasizing quality over volume, consistency and predictability, administrative and logistical support, long-term clinic partnerships, and ethical, mission-driven healthcare delivery.

Requirements

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited program
• Active New Mexico optometry license
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
• Comfortable practicing in outpatient clinic environments
• Willingness to travel up to 4 hours to assigned clinics

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye exams and vision assessments
• Diagnose and manage common ocular conditions within your scope
• Prescribe corrective lenses and provide treatment recommendations
