About The Position

The Department of Health & Sport Sciences invites applications for part-time lecturer positions teaching undergraduate and/or graduate classes in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, Health Education, Physical Activity, Physical Education, Sport Administration, and Youth Sports. Work required varies by position and FTE. Candidates are placed in a pool for consideration as openings arise; applications are accepted throughout the year, and appointments are made as needed.

Instructors prepare and submit course syllabi in accordance with accreditation standards, provide meaningful feedback, present engaging learning experiences, respond to students in a timely manner, and communicate regularly with the program director. They also maintain collegial and respectful relationships with university community members and external stakeholders, submit course data and final grades by university deadlines, and comply with other university requests for part-time instructors.

Requirements

• A doctorate or master’s degree in the teaching discipline, or a master’s degree with a concentration in the teaching discipline and at least 18 graduate semester hours in that discipline.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit a course syllabus in accordance with accreditation standards.

• Submit course data, including Hallmark Assessment Tasks and midterm progress reports, and final grades within university deadlines.
• Comply with other university requests for a part-time instructor.
