The Department of Engineering Fundamentals at the University of Louisville invites applications for a part-time lecturer for the fall 2026 term (August 15th – December 13th). The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Quality and Lean Systems (AE 313) and supporting final course development of Digital Electronics (AE 224). The Applied Engineering Program is housed in the Department of Engineering Fundamentals. The Engineering Fundamentals Department is comprised of faculty who teach common core courses taken by all entering engineering students. In their first four semesters, engineering students take 18 hours of courses from the Department of Engineering Fundamentals, including Engineering Methods, Tools and Practice I and II and calculus-based Engineering Analysis courses. Most courses have many sections and multiple instructors who collaborate to work as instructional teams to maintain consistency of learning outcomes across courses and support continuous improvement.
