About The Position
The Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago invites applications for part-time lecturer positions for the 2026-2027 academic year to teach in our programs. We seek excellent teachers and experienced practitioners to teach in a variety of policy-related areas that enrich the Harris School’s already robust curriculum. Candidates must have at least a tentative idea for a course or seminar to be offered, as well as expertise and experience directly relevant to the course or seminar being proposed.
Requirements
- Graduate level degree and/or professional experience in the relevant field.
- Relevant or policy-related experience.
- Submit a curriculum vitae or resume.
- Submit a course proposal.
Nice To Haves
- PhD is preferred.
- Prior experience teaching students is strongly preferred.
- Optionally, prior teaching course evaluations and other materials relevant to your candidacy may be included.
Responsibilities
- Teach in a variety of policy-related areas.
- Propose and teach a course or seminar.
