About The Position

The Kent School of Social Work invites applications for Part-Time Lecturer (PTL) teaching positions in the Practicum Education Program. These positions involve teaching in both traditional and online settings. The salary is based on a per credit hour value of the course taught, typically for a 3-credit hour course. This advertisement is effective for six months after the date it is first posted, and reapplication is necessary if not hired within that period. Non-exempt University employees are not eligible to apply.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree from a CSWE accredited program.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience supervising practicum students in an agency setting.
  • KY LCSW preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Attend orientation/trainings/liaison meetings 3x per semester.
  • Submit course syllabus.
  • Order textbooks or other reading materials.
  • Provide developmentally meaningful feedback.
  • Present engaging learning experiences.
  • Respond to students and agencies in a timely manner.
  • Communicate regularly with the designated course chair.
  • Maintain collegial and respectful relations with members of the UofL community and external stakeholders.
  • Submit course data and final grades within university deadlines.
  • Comply with other requests as a part-time lecturer.
