About The Position

The Kent School of Social Work invites applications for Part-Time Lecturer (PTL) teaching positions in the MSCFT Program. This is a temporary, fixed-term position. The salary is based on a per credit hour value of the course taught, typically for a 3-credit hour course. Courses are offered in traditional and online settings. The specific position advertised is for an in-person class.

Requirements

  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Kentucky.
  • Master’s degree in family science, couple and family therapy, social work, or related field.
  • At least two years post-masters experience in clinical work.
  • AAMFT-Approved Supervisor or Supervisor Candidate, or eligible to become one.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience teaching previously.

Responsibilities

  • Attend orientation/trainings/liaison meetings 3x per semester.
  • Submit course syllabus.
  • Order textbooks or other reading materials.
  • Provide developmentally meaningful feedback.
  • Present engaging learning experiences.
  • Respond to students in a timely manner.
  • Communicate regularly with designated course chair.
  • Maintain collegial and respectful relations with members of the UofL community and external stakeholders.
  • Submit course data and final grades within university deadlines.
  • Comply with other requests as a part-time lecturer.
