About The Position

The Department of Religious Studies at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Part-Time Lecturer Pool to teach undergraduate courses. The department seeks faculty who are prepared to teach in face-to-face formats and/or asynchronous online courses, depending on program needs. This is a pool of part-time lecturers for the department to draw on as necessary. Qualified applicants will be contacted when positions are available. Appointments from the part-time pool are temporary and often made just prior to the start of the academic term. Applicants must be available on very short notice.

Requirements

  • Hold at least a Master’s degree in Religious Studies or a related field.
  • Demonstrate ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, including first-generation college students.
  • Be available on very short notice.
  • Submit a complete online application.
  • Provide a Cover Letter which includes a statement of which of our courses you are qualified to teach.
  • Provide a Curriculum Vitae.
  • Provide a Copy of your unofficial transcripts conferring your highest terminal degree.
  • Provide a list of three (3) references with contact information.
  • Provide an Inclusive Excellence Statement.
  • Provide a sample of course syllabi.
  • Provide Teaching Evaluations (if available).
  • Sign a release form authorizing the release of information by the applicant’s current and/or former employers to the CSU concerning any substantial allegation of misconduct (at final stages).
  • Disclose whether they have received a final administrative decision or final judicial decision determining that they have committed sexual harassment within the last 7 years (after meeting minimum qualifications and before offer of employment).
