The Orfalea College of Business at Cal Poly is seeking applications for a pool of part-time lecturers to teach Taxation during the Fall and/or Spring semesters of the 2026-2027 academic year. Positions are temporary and may be filled on short notice. The college offers a master's in accountancy with a tax specialization and undergraduate classes in taxation. Qualified applicants are sought to teach taxation at the graduate and/or undergraduate levels in various subject areas including multi-state taxation, international, individual, corporate, partnership, estate and gift, and/or reorganizations. Assignments are dependent on class availability, scheduling, budget, and enrollments. Initial rank and salary are determined by professional experience and educational background, with most new lecturers hired at the Lecturer A and B rank. Salary ranges as of July 2024 are: Lecturer A: $5,507-$6,677, Lecturer B: $6,221-$13,224, Lecturer C: $6,825-$14,523, Lecturer D: $8,593-$15,211.
