About The Position
The School of Nursing is searching for obstetric and medical/surgical part-time lecturers (PTLs) to work with our full-time faculty on an as-needed basis to teach clinical nursing courses.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing required
- Active, unencumbered license as a professional nurse (RN) in the state of Michigan
- Two years of recent and applicable clinical experience required.
Nice To Haves
- MSN preferred
- Prior experience with teaching clinical and/or undergraduate students is ideal but not required.
Responsibilities
- Meet with students during and outside of assigned classes.
- Assess student work and performance.
- Prepare syllabi and course materials.
- Provide copies of syllabi and course materials to their supervisor on request.
- Assign and submit grades in accordance with established Eastern Michigan University schedules.
- Perform related departmental duties as required.
