About The Position

The Department of Engineering Fundamentals at the University of Louisville invites applications for a part-time lecturer for the Spring 2027 term (January 6th – May 7th). The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Engineering Analysis I, a calculus-based engineering math class for first- and second-year undergraduate engineering students.

Requirements

  • Doctorate or Masters degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills, including working with a diverse population.
  • Experience in teaching undergraduate math classes to STEM students.
  • Demonstrated commitment to high-quality teaching and student success

Nice To Haves

  • Experience and interest interacting with first-year college students or similar population
  • Experience with MS OneNote, and MyLabs.
  • Interest and experience using evidence-based teaching practices and active learning
  • Interest and experience in continuous course improvement based on scholarship of teaching and learning
