About The Position
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is seeking a Part-Time In-Home Veterinarian for the Chicago North Shore, IL area, including Arlington Heights, Glenview, Highland Park, Northbrook, McHenry, Palatine, and surrounding areas. This role offers an alternative to traditional in-clinic practice, focusing on compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families. The position emphasizes professional fulfillment, personal freedom, and work-life balance, with a supportive community of over 400 veterinarians and professionals. Veterinarian-founded and owned, Lap of Love provides ongoing training, mentorship, and dedicated practice managers.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS)
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Availability to work some weekends
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance
- Candidates will be subject to a background and motor vehicle record check, post-hire and before their associated start date.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families.
- Conduct an average of 3-4 un-rushed appointments per day.
- Practice medicine that aligns with personal values.
