About The Position

Reid’s Tannery Promotional Products, a division of H&K Group, Inc., is seeking part-time help in the production area to assist with all aspects of the job. The role operates heat transfer presses to apply preprinted graphic images to garments, fabrics, and other materials. The ideal candidate is experienced, accurate, detail oriented, friendly, and professional. A resume is strongly preferred.

The position also includes miscellaneous duties assisting staff in the retail store. The employee must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily and meet the job’s physical requirements. Work takes place in an environment where employees are frequently exposed to moving parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and wet or humid conditions; noise is occasionally loud.

Requirements

• Experience with an industrial Tajima 4-head machine or similar.
• Strong troubleshooting and critical-thinking skills.
• Strong customer-service and communication skills.
• Organized and detail oriented.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet customer deadlines.
• Ability to take initiative and work as part of a team.
• Ability to fit test and use appropriate personal protective equipment as needed.
• Ability to meet physical requirements, including movement and lifting relevant to the job.
• Ability to lift and/or move 10–25 pounds, as stated in the job overview.
• Regularly reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Frequently sit, stand, walk, climb, or balance.
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
• Vision abilities required include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent, such as a GED, from an accredited educational institution.
• Experience with manual and/or automated screen-printing processes and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Receive heat transfers with production orders.
• Read work orders.
• Count and prepare orders for production, including unpacking products from plastic or boxes.
• Check heat transfer press settings for proper temperature, time, and pressure according to the fabric and transfer type.
• Position images according to job specifications.
• Adjust temperature, pressure, and timing controls.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area and equipment.
• Operate flat and hat heat presses.
• Perform miscellaneous duties assisting staff in the retail store.
