About The Position

The University of Maine at Farmington (UMF) and the Division of Graduate and Continuing Education welcome passionate educators to join our team as a part-time adjunct faculty members. UMF's Division of Graduate and Continuing Education provides a high-quality learning experience with educators respected in their fields. Part-time temporary faculty members may be rehired in subsequent semesters based on course availability, schedule, funding, and performance. Continuation is subject to the terms of the PATFA bargaining agreement and other applicable university policies. While the courses in this program have a weekly or every-other-week campus class meeting, positions also require the use of the UMS learning management system (Brightspace) to host all course materials and discussions not held face-to-face.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in counseling psychology and LCPC licensure in the State of Maine
  • Practice as an LCPC for a minimum of 5 years, with no more than 2 years of practice as a conditionally licensed clinician
  • Academic preparation adequate for the courses to be taught
  • Computer (laptop) with an appropriate amount of processing speed
  • High-speed internet connection
  • Webcam
  • Microphone

Nice To Haves

  • PsyD, PhD in Psychology, and Licensed as a Psychologist in the State of Maine
  • Current experience in assessing, diagnosing, and treating mental health problems
  • Teaching across different modalities (i.e., online, hybrid, in-person)
