About The Position

National University is seeking part-time faculty in Psychology for its Department of Psychology, within the JFK School of Psychology and Social Sciences. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability or potential for excellent teaching in psychology and a commitment to serving a diverse adult student population. This role involves close collaboration with the Academic Program Director and other faculty to maintain program quality, foster student engagement, and ensure student success. The position is based remotely in the USA.

Requirements

Doctoral degree with a focus in Psychology or related field required, PhD preferred.
Research-based, scholarly, peer-reviewed journal article publications, required.
Experience with the online delivery of education and the systems that support it, required.
Experience as a member of a dissertation committee, preferably as the chair/advisor required.

Nice To Haves

Graduate level qualitative methods, quantitative methods, or statistics teaching experience preferred.
Content expertise in one or more of the following areas preferred, but not required: trauma, substance use/addictions, the use and impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Responsibilities

Provide substantive, timely feedback to students on various assessment activities.
Maintain a positive, safe, inclusive student-centric learning environment.
Complete required tasks on deadlines (e.g., final grades, assessment, grading rubrics, input for grade appeals, etc.).
Maintain appropriate professional training and/or scholarly activities, when applicable.
Provide feedback to the course lead regarding the course content.
Identify at-risk students and collaborate with student services.
