Part Time Faculty Interest Pool - Interior Design
About The Position
Portland Community College (PCC) is seeking applicants for a Part-Time Faculty Interest Pool for Interior Design. This pool is used to identify potential faculty members as the need arises for new part-time instructors. Applications may be considered for substitute or full-term class assignments. PCC is the largest post-secondary institution in Oregon, committed to making high-quality education accessible and contributing to economic development. The Interior Design program offers degrees and certificates, and faculty are expected to demonstrate competence in the field and be able to teach specific PCC courses.
Requirements
- Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in interior design or a related field (e.g., Architecture, Kitchen and Bath Design, Lighting Design, Textiles).
- Ability to list current PCC courses that you would be able to teach.
- Required academic credentials must be from a regionally accredited US institution or a foreign institution with equivalent accreditation.
- Transcripts must be evaluated by agencies in good standing with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services if credentials are from foreign institutions.
- Must be able to establish residence in Oregon or Washington.
Responsibilities
- Teach Interior Design courses based on departmental needs.
- Demonstrate competence in Interior Design for each course taught.
- Potentially teach substitute assignments or full-term class assignments.
