About The Position

Portland Community College is seeking applicants for a Part-Time Faculty Interest Pool in Graphic Design. This pool is used to identify potential faculty members for course assignments as the need arises throughout the academic year, including substitute and full-term class assignments. Requirements

BA, BFA, or BS in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or Graphic Art
Four years recent (within the last ten years), full-time professional experience in the field of Graphic Design OR Bachelor’s degree in related area (Illustration, Digital Art, or Digital Graphics)
30 quarter hours upper division coursework in Graphic Design
Four years recent (within the last ten years), full-time professional experience in the field of Graphic Design OR AAS degree in Graphic Design OR professional education
Five years recent (within the last ten years), full-time professional experience in the field of Graphic Design
Reside in Oregon or Washington.
Official transcripts required within 2 weeks of offer date for degrees.
Academic credentials must be from a regionally accredited US institution or a foreign institution with equivalent accreditation.
Foreign transcripts require evaluation by a NACES-approved agency.

Responsibilities

Teach Graphic Design courses.
Identify current PCC courses that you would be able to teach.
Potentially teach substitute assignments as well as full term class assignments.
