About The Position

Curry College has ongoing needs for part-time Faculty to teach in our Exercise Science program. Our curriculum prepares students for careers in strength and conditioning, clinical exercise physiology, rehabilitation sciences, fitness and wellness, and graduate study in allied health professions (e.g., physical therapy, occupational therapy, physician assistant, athletic training, and related fields). All of our courses are taught in person on our Milton, MA campus. Days and hours of courses vary from semester to semester.

Requirements

Minimum of a Master's degree in a field related to Exercise Science (e.g., Nutrition, Exercise Physiology, Physical Therapy, Strength and Conditioning, Human Performance, Biomechanics, Kinesiology)
Relevant professional experience in fitness, performance, clinical, research or rehabilitation settings
If applicable, candidate should demonstrate and maintain current nationally recognized professional certification or licensure appropriate to their professional area
In certain cases, candidates with a Bachelor's degree and substantial professional experience may be considered

Nice To Haves

Teaching experience is preferred

Responsibilities

Planning and presenting course material for assigned lecture, laboratory, and/or applied experiential courses
Defining specific course requirements and communicating them clearly to students
Evaluating student performance on examinations, projects, laboratory competencies, and practical assessments
Submitting grades in a timely manner
Providing students with clear feedback regarding their progress
Being available to interact electronically with students outside the classroom
Supporting student professional development
