The School of STEM Department of Engineering at Vermont State University invites applications for a Part-Time teaching position for Spring 2027 (January 19 – May 14, 2027) at the VTSU Randolph Campus. The course to be taught is ARE 4720 - ARE Senior Project 1 hour of Lecture & 3 hours of Studio Instruction per week 4 teaching credits per semester. This capstone course is part of the Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering Technology degree program. Students apply their knowledge and skills to a commercial-scale building or infrastructure-related project based on preliminary architectural plans, an existing structure, or a similar project. Projects may include the preparation of engineering drawings, design or evaluation documentation, and presentations addressing electrical/lighting, mechanical, structural, and/or energy systems. Students may also develop an integrated sustainable design or evaluation addressing multiple building systems. This course (co-taught with a full-time instructor from the AET program) focuses on guiding students through the development and completion of their capstone projects through weekly student-instructor sessions.
