About The Position
Worcester Polytechnic Institute invites applications for the part-time position of Adjunct Teaching Faculty. The Architecture Engineering program in the Civil & Environmental and Architectural Engineering Department at Worcester Polytechnic Institute is seeking part-time adjunct faculty to teach day and/or evening classes. Part-time faculty positions are created to provide an available applicant pool for the program and department. Positions will be filled on an as-needed basis. Start dates will vary by course and term. Applications will remain in the pool until the posting closes.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in Architectural Engineering, Architecture or closely related discipline.
- Prior experience as an instructor or a teaching assistant at the college-level is required.
- Relevant industry experience is also valued.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses, including design studios, with various options for on-campus and online delivery.
- Teach from an established course syllabus but with addition of personal expertise and experience.
- Conduct office hours.
- Grade course assessments.
- Provide students with timely feedback.
- Provide materials used in course evaluations.
