About The Position

The Mayor’s Office of Management and Budget (OMB) is the City government's chief financial agency, responsible for assembling and overseeing the Mayor’s expense and capital budgets. Personnel Management & Administration (PMA) is OMB’s central services department, focused on designing, developing, and implementing programs to meet the needs of OMB personnel and providing efficient services to OMB employees. This role provides essential administrative and driving support within the Personnel Management and Administration task force.

Requirements

  • A cover letter is required.
  • NYS CDL License Preferred
  • 5+ years of experience as a Driver
  • Knowledge of NYC Boroughs and driving routes
  • A four year high diploma or its educational equivalent preferred
  • 3+ years of related administrative and secretarial experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must have great Customer Service Skills
  • Must have a motor vehicle driver license valid in the State of New York.
  • Must be a City resident within 90 days of the date of appointment.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and reception support including greeting guests, answering telephones, scheduling meetings, coordinating calendars, drafting/editing/formatting communications, maintaining records and files, and tracking/responding to correspondence.
  • Provide support, personnel, and equipment for special events scheduled by OMB.
  • Move furniture and equipment.
  • Perform facility maintenance, including restocking pantry supplies and paper throughout the office.
  • Coordinate with building engineers for repairs and maintenance.
  • Serve as a backup driver for an Agency official, including picking up and dropping off Agency Executives.
  • Perform basic vehicle checks, including tires, oil, fuel, lights, horn, and brakes, and replenish fluids as needed.
  • Report any noticeable mechanical defects in the vehicle.
  • Prepare Trip Reports or enter trip data into computerized applications as required.
