About The Position
Mentoring Alliance is seeking ministry-minded individuals to join its After School team. The Part Time Daycare Worker fosters youth development in an after-school setting by leading elementary students in enrichment activities. The role offers the opportunity to serve as a role model and support children in reaching their full potential. Mentoring Alliance is a Christian ministry that provides after-school care and activities for children and students in the community. The organization’s mission is to mobilize godly people into the lives of kids and families, providing tangible help and eternal hope. The organization considers this position first and foremost a Minister of the Gospel. This is a non-exempt, part-time position averaging 17–20 hours per week during the school calendar year.
Requirements
- Agree with and exhibit behaviors in accordance with the Mentoring Alliance Statement of Faith.
- Be at least 17 years of age.
- Have a passion and love for working with elementary school-aged children.
- Be able to work Monday through Friday, 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., during the school calendar year.
- Be able to earn CPR/First Aid certification; certification is mandatory.
- Pass the mandatory background and sex offender check.
- Have a valid driver's license or valid ID.
- Be legally allowed to work in the United States.
- Have dependable transportation.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred; some post-secondary training highly preferred.
- Experience working with elementary school-aged children preferred.
- Spanish-speaking ability greatly valued.
