About The Position

The part-time Cook Center Event Worker will assist with setting up, working, and cleaning up after events, as well as general organization of the facility. This role involves representing Navarro College during hosted events and requires flexibility in working hours, including some evenings and weekends.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to follow directions.
• Able to work independently and with others.
• Must be approachable and able to communicate with guests.
• Ability to take initiative.
• Able to see a project to completeness.
• Ability to make changes to a layout based on guest feedback.
• Flexibility is required.
• Ability to lift and move loads up to 40 lbs. repeatedly.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

• Guest service experience.
• A willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Help with moving tables and chairs for Navarro College and private events.
• Represent Navarro College during hosted events.
• Basic cleaning of the building before and after events.
• Help with organizing supplies.
• General organization and cleaning of facility.
• Provide a work schedule to assistant Event Coordinator.
• Attend worker meetings as called.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
