About The Position

Christensen Recycling is looking for a dependable, hardworking Part-Time Catalytic Converter Cutter / Shear Operator to join our warehouse team. This position will primarily be responsible for safely cutting and processing catalytic converters using our hydraulic catalytic converter shear/cutting equipment. We are looking for someone who wants steady part-time work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Requirements

• Must be dependable and show up on time
• Comfortable working around industrial machinery
• Able to perform repetitive physical work
• Able to lift and handle catalytic converters throughout the shift
• Must follow instructions and established safety procedures

Nice To Haves

• Mechanically inclined preferred
• Previous experience operating a shear, hydraulic equipment, scrap-processing equipment, or industrial machinery is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person

Responsibilities

• Operate hydraulic catalytic converter cutting/shearing equipment
• Cut and process catalytic converters efficiently and safely
• Load and position converters into the cutting equipment
• Separate converter shells and internal material as required
• Keep the cutting and processing area clean and organized
• Follow all company safety procedures
• Perform basic daily equipment inspections
• Report equipment problems or safety concerns to management
• Assist with other warehouse duties when needed
