About The Position
Tri-County Technical College is seeking a Part-Time Cafe Cook to join their team. This role is responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of food items for the cafe and dining services. The cook will maintain high standards of food preparation, cleanliness, and customer service to provide a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. The college is a public, two-year community and technical college serving Anderson, Oconee, and Pickens counties in South Carolina, with a vision to transform lives and build strong communities and a mission to provide an exceptional and affordable learning experience that improves quality of life and advances economic development.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 year of experience cooking in a restaurant setting
Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present a variety of hot and cold menu items, including breakfast, lunch, and snack options, following established recipes and guidelines.
- Assist in planning daily and weekly menus, ensuring a diverse and healthy selection of food options.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, following food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Regularly clean kitchen equipment, workstations, and utensils.
- Provide friendly and efficient service to students, staff, and other customers, ensuring their dietary needs and preferences are met.
- Work as a part of a team to ensure smooth café operations, including assisting with opening and closing duties, and cooperating with other team members.
