The Prep Cook is responsible for efficiently and consistently preparing all menu items and specials with great attention to quality, presentation, taste, and all other details. This includes the ability to prepare large orders in a manner that preserves the quality of each plate. The role involves learning and establishing an efficient routine to ensure all prep work is complete to support the Home Cafe during its busiest period, ensuring optimum freshness and avoiding waste. The Prep Cook must be able to effectively make adjustments to provide the best overall dining experience to all customers and read recipes to make food according to specifications. Regular and reliable attendance, punctuality, and consistent presence during scheduled work hours are fundamental requirements. The position also involves developing, maintaining, and enhancing positive relations with all guests and employees, wearing and maintaining uniforms properly, and maintaining a clean workstation and kitchen. The Prep Cook must alert the supervisor of any concerns regarding food quality, selection, and variety, and perform duties in compliance with health standards, the Colorado Limited Gaming Act, and internal policies and procedures. Maintaining alertness and general awareness of restaurant operations is crucial. The role involves receiving training and guidance from the Prep Cook Lead, Floor Supervisor, and/or Kitchen Manager, and performing other duties as needed and directed.
