About The Position

We are a family of four seeking a mature, organized, and dependable after-school nanny for our 17-year-old daughter and 9-year-old son. We are an easygoing family who values kindness, respect, and treating others well. We prioritize family time, which often includes playing games together in a home filled with humor and laughter. Our children are active and involved in sports and other activities, and we encourage a lifestyle of movement and staying active. We value the important work of a nanny and aim to build a positive, long-term relationship, offering guaranteed hours with opportunities for additional hours and overnights. This position starts ASAP and runs Monday-Thursday from 3:15-6:45 pm, ending at the end of the school year, with potential to continue into the summer.

Requirements

Mature, organized, and dependable caregiver.
Punctual and communicative.
Takes initiative.
Positive influence and role model for children.
At least two years of experience working with older children.
Tenacious, engaged, and committed to providing thoughtful, high-quality support.
Valid driver's license.
Reliable transportation.
Ability to follow CDC guidelines and best hygiene practices related to COVID-19.

Nice To Haves

Experience tutoring in STEM subjects.
Experience or willingness to learn French.

Responsibilities

Oversee children's after-school routines, including snack preparation, homework, reading, and workbook assignments.
Review children's work and provide thoughtful feedback.
Coordinate with the children's STEM, French, and other tutors.
Help manage the family calendar and activity paperwork.
Communicate regularly with parents and tutors.
Provide transportation to sports, activities, appointments, tutoring, and other commitments.
Facilitate library trips, including checking out and returning books.
Plan each afternoon and ensure children are on time for their commitments.
Provide weekly updates to parents.
Plan a monthly one-on-one outing with each child.
