About The Position
The Department of Communication Studies (https://communicationstudies.wvu.edu/) at West Virginia University invites applications for Part-time Adjunct Teaching Positions. Areas of need include, may not be limited to, mediated and mass communication, small group communication, health communication, organizational communication, nonverbal communication, and persuasion. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching in-person or online courses in the Department of Communication Studies’ undergraduate and graduate programs. Applications will be accepted throughout the year and will be considered as openings arise. Salary is established on a per-course basis.
Requirements
- master’s or doctoral degree in Communication Studies or a closely related discipline
- evidence of effective teaching at the undergraduate or graduate level
- experience teaching large lectures courses or online courses
- a letter of application summarizing your teaching qualifications
- your curriculum vitae, including professional certifications and professional experience
- contact information for two individuals who can provide letters of recommendation
