About The Position
The Program for Native American Studies at West Virginia University is seeking applications for Part-time Adjunct Teaching Positions. The program has a need for instructors in areas such as Contemporary Native American Issues, Indigenous Culture and History, and Modern Native Nations. The selected candidates will be responsible for teaching courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, which may be conducted in-person or online. Applications are accepted year-round, and positions are filled as openings become available. Compensation is determined on a per-course basis.
Requirements
- Master’s or doctoral degree in Native American Studies, Indigenous Studies, American Studies, or a closely related discipline.
- Evidence of effective teaching at the undergraduate or graduate level.
- A letter of application summarizing teaching qualifications.
- Curriculum vitae, including professional certifications and professional experience.
- Contact information for two individuals who can provide letters of recommendation.
Responsibilities
