About The Position

The City of Chandler Community Services Department is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as a Parks Maintenance Worker, full-time with benefits. The position is scheduled Saturday through Wednesday, from 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The Park Operations Division plays a critical role in the City of Chandler’s quality of life initiative by providing over 1,500 acres of safe, clean and well-maintained parks that offer exceptional recreational experiences. Our new team members will have a passion for customer service, teamwork, and collaboration. We are looking for someone to perform routine preventative, groundskeeping, repair, or maintenance activities on a variety of City equipment, park grounds, buildings, or structures.

Requirements

  • Completion of eighth grade, no experience required
  • A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of landscaping, irrigation, or sports field maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventative, groundskeeping, repair, or maintenance activities on a variety of City equipment, park grounds, buildings, or structures.
