Parks Maintenance Worker
About The Position
The City of Leawood is hiring a Parks Maintenance Worker to help maintain the beauty and functionality of our local parks and green spaces. Previous park maintenance experience is helpful but not required. We are prepared to train someone with the right attitude, work ethic, and commitment to safety. Nice To Haves
- Previous park maintenance experience
- Experience in parks, landscaping, or grounds maintenance
- Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with air brakes and tanker endorsements
Responsibilities
- Perform general grounds maintenance to keep outdoor areas clean, safe, and well-kept
- Operate landscaping tools and equipment safely and effectively
- Assist with minor repairs or upkeep of outdoor facilities and walkways
- Plant flowers, shrubs, and seasonal vegetation
- Prune trees, shrubs, and other vegetation to maintain healthy growth and appearance
- Weed flower beds, garden areas, and landscaped areas
- Water plants, lawns, and other vegetation as needed
