Parks Maintenance Worker
About The Position
The City of Leawood is hiring a Parks Maintenance Worker to help maintain our parks, trails, athletic fields, playgrounds, and public spaces. Prior park maintenance experience is helpful but not required. We are prepared to train someone with the right attitude, work ethic, and commitment to safety. Requirements

Nice To Haves
- Experience in parks, landscaping, or grounds maintenance
- Experience with operating and maintaining mowers, trimmers, and other landscaping equipment
- Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with air brakes and tanker endorsements
Responsibilities
- Maintain turf, athletic fields, parks, trails, playgrounds, and other City properties.
- Mow, trim, aerate, seed, fertilize, weed, and perform other turf-care activities.
- Prepare athletic fields for practices, games, and special events.
- Install, repair, and maintain irrigation systems.
- Inspect and maintain playgrounds, park amenities, tools, and equipment.
- Work safely and collaboratively to complete daily assignments and projects.
