About The Position
St. Andrew's Parish Parks & Playground Commission is seeking a dependable, hardworking Parks Maintenance Tech - Grounds to help maintain our parks, athletic fields, playgrounds, and outdoor facilities. If you enjoy working outdoors, take pride in creating safe and beautiful public spaces, and like hands-on work, we'd love to hear from you!
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- CPR/First Aid/AED certification (or ability to obtain and maintain)
- Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors in all seasons
Nice To Haves
- Grounds maintenance experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Maintain parks, athletic fields, and outdoor facilities
- Prepare and line athletic fields for games
- Mow, trim, prune, and care for landscaping
- Inspect and maintain playground equipment for safety
- Operate grounds maintenance equipment and tools
- Respond to weather-related cleanup and maintenance needs
- Help provide a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our community
