About The Position

St. Andrew's Parish Parks & Playground Commission is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Parks Maintenance - Building Custodian to help maintain clean, safe, and welcoming recreation facilities. This full-time position supports the health and recreation of the community through custodial work and hands-on facility maintenance.

The schedule is Wednesday through Sunday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Hours may vary for special events. Pay is $18.00–$20.00 per hour, depending on experience. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of required pre-employment screenings, which may include background checks, employment eligibility verification, and post-offer drug screening. The Commission is an equal opportunity and at-will employer.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• At least one year of custodial experience.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• CPR/First Aid/AED certification, or ability to obtain and maintain it.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize fitness, recreation, and office facilities.
• Maintain restrooms, locker rooms, common areas, and outdoor walkways.
• Perform minor building and equipment maintenance, including painting and basic repairs.
• Assist with facility setups, special events, and inspections.
• Help ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for members and guests.
