About The Position

St. Andrew's Parish Parks & Playground Commission is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Parks Maintenance - Building Custodian to help keep recreation facilities clean, safe, and welcoming for the community. This is a full-time position supporting the health and recreation of the community. The schedule is Wednesday through Sunday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; hours may vary for special events. Pay is $18.00–$20.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of required pre-employment screenings, which may include background checks, employment eligibility verification, and post-offer drug screening, in accordance with Commission policy and applicable law. The Commission is an at-will and equal opportunity employer.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a minimum of one year of custodial experience.
• Demonstrate a strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• CPR/First Aid/AED certification, or ability to obtain and maintain it.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize fitness, recreation, and office facilities.
• Maintain restrooms, locker rooms, common areas, and outdoor walkways.
• Perform minor building and equipment maintenance, including painting and basic repairs.
• Assist with facility setups, special events, and inspections.
• Help ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for members and guests.
