About The Position

This position maintains parks, sports facilities, outdoor recreation facilities, trails, and municipally owned grounds. Winter duties may include, but are not limited to: maintaining ice rinks, ski trails, park equipment, and removing snow from trails, parking lots, and roadways. Summer duties may include, but are not limited to, collecting litter, mowing turf, cleaning and repairing bike trails, repairing playground equipment, vandalized parks, and maintaining sports fields. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Three (3) months experience in lawn, landscape, trails, construction, grounds, or facility maintenance.
Must possess a valid State of Alaska Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record at time of hire.
Employment is conditional based on a satisfactory background check which includes criminal, education, and employment history.
Applicants must be legally authorized to work and accept employment in the United States.
All required certifications and/or licenses must remain current for the duration of employment.
The candidate selected must provide their Union Dispatch Referral Form by the time of hire.
