About The Position

Requirements

  • Valid Florida Drivers License Required
  • Six months to one year guest service and/or parking experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • High school degree or GED required.
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License required.
  • High school degree or GED is required.
  • One to three years in a cash handling position with face-to-face customer contact preferred. ; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Operations experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Safely and professionally direct guests and ride app drivers to the correct areas.
  • Manage traffic control, and redirect vehicles to park in the appropriate areas.
  • Provides information, including parking location information, drop off/pick up information, and assistance to guests.
  • Answers Guest questions and offers general UO information while providing exemplary guest service.
  • Safely assist in set up of parking flow using cones, barricades and other equipment.
  • Maintains safety standards to ensure team and guest safety.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment by constantly monitoring the immediate area and/or surroundings.
  • Responsible for ensuring a neat and organized work area, trash removal, keeping the area free of debris and the proper maintenance of equipment and/or props.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities.
  • Greets and provides directions to Guests / drivers dropping off and picking up throughout Universal Orlando Resort.
  • Assists with loading Guests into resort buses at resort and park locations as well as Special Event transportation.
  • Directs buses to appropriate parking locations, manages traffic control for Special Events, redirects cars to appropriate parking or drop off/pick locations, records various data for guest/vehicle flow.
  • Provide high level of guest service while properly handling cash/credit transactions and entering key into valet system to ensure quick return of guest vehicles.
  • Provide transportation of the Valet runners to and from the parking area and circle.
  • Follow proper cash handling policy and procedure while maintaining a high level of guest service.
  • Ensure all transactions are processed correctly in the Zip Park and Galaxy systems.
  • Input guest/vehicle information in computer system.
  • Ensure keys are entered in the system in a timely manner.
  • Maintain and track the vehicle keys logged.
  • Ensure keys are placed in the proper location for efficient retrieval.
  • Follow safe driving procedures, including traffic laws, and safety protocol.
  • Ensure all paperwork and information logs are completed properly and accurately.
  • Provide a personal vehicle parking and retrieval service for the park guests.
  • Drives vehicle to and from parked area and secures the vehicle properly.
  • Ensures ticket is filled out completely and accurately with specific information.
  • Marks all pre-existing vehicle damage on the ticket.
  • Returns the keys with ticket to valet key booth.
  • Greets all guests and opens the vehicle doors.
  • When working on door, explain valet procedures and pricing; offer additional services such as Red Carpet and pre-paid service.
  • When Screener, greets guests upon arrival and performs access control responsibilities for valet area.
  • Provides exemplary guest service to guests arriving to the Toll Plaza and provides suggestive and persuasive up selling of parking productions, and all financial responsibilities that accompany.
  • Up-sells guest transactions by using persuasive selling techniques to increase the sale of parking options; including Prime Parking and/or Valet parking.
  • Maintains a minimum average of upgraded parking sales set by management.
  • Processes parking pass transactions using established computer system, or manual transactions and provides appropriate parking and park information to guests.
  • Practices proper cash handling procedures to ensure accuracy at cash out.
  • Practices proper procedures for detecting and reporting counterfeit cash and credit cards.
  • Provides directions to appropriate Parking locations.
  • Places slip in vehicle windshield associated with Parking product purchased.
  • Answer questions about the UO resort.
  • Resolves Guest concerns utilizing knowledge of operation and resort.
  • Practices established procedures for safety in Toll Booths including specific procedures when handling counterfeits.
  • Provides direction to arriving vehicles to even traffic when necessary.
  • May assist in various areas of the department e.g. Wheelchairs, processing cash and credit transactions, renting and cleaning wheelchairs, delivery wheelchairs to rentals locations.
  • Lot Attendant, assist with setting up parking flow and directing guest to parking locations.
