About The Position

Mohawk Mountain Ski Area is hiring parking lot staff to safely park customers’ vehicles in even rows, maximize usable parking space, and keep roadways and fire lanes clear. Parking staff are often the first employees customers encounter and help set a positive tone by directing them to locations such as rentals, ticketing, retail, the cafeteria, and snowsports. The work is primarily outdoors and on your feet. Shifts are primarily on weekends and holidays, approximately 7:45 a.m. until 2–4 p.m. Staff also assist with opening the mountain by shoveling walkways, salting, placing directional markers in the lot, and performing other tasks as directed by the Mountain Operations Manager. The wage range is $17.50–$20.

Requirements

Must be capable of standing for extended periods.
Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
Must possess great customer service skills.
Must be able to follow directions and remember parking configurations.
Must be able to direct traffic flow and foot traffic in the parking lot.
Adequate footwear and warm clothing are required for the outdoor work.

Responsibilities

Park customers’ vehicles safely and evenly to maximize usable parking space.
Maintain clear roadways and fire lanes.
Direct customers to appropriate mountain locations, including rentals, ticketing, retail, the cafeteria, and snowsports.
Direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic in the parking lot.
Assist with mountain opening by shoveling walkways, salting, and placing directional markers in the lot.
Enforce parking rules.
Maintain communication with Mountain Operations Management.
Perform other duties as directed by the Mountain Operations Manager.
