About The Position
The Parking Facilities Custodian helps maintain the appearance, cleanliness, and overall condition of parking facilities. This hands-on role includes routine cleaning, preventative upkeep, minor repairs, and facility improvements, contributing to the quality of operations. The position works across multiple locations and requires independent work, attention to detail, and prioritization based on operational needs. The role is based at The Car Park in Boise, Idaho, and follows a fixed Tuesday–Saturday schedule from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. Work takes place primarily outdoors and in parking garages and surface lots, with regular exposure to varying weather conditions and active parking environments. The position requires following safety procedures when handling cleaning products, operating maintenance equipment, and working near moving vehicles.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods.
- Strong customer service and teamwork skills.
Nice To Haves
- Some janitorial, custodial, or maintenance experience.
- Mechanical, painting, or pressure washing experience.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of parking garages, surface lots, stairwells, elevators, and other common areas.
- Perform basic maintenance and first-level troubleshooting on gates, arms, and pay equipment, and escalate issues requiring additional technical support.
- Perform minor maintenance tasks, including painting, touch-ups, and basic repairs.
- Handle trash and litter pickup across multiple locations.
- Identify and report damaged equipment, maintenance concerns, safety hazards, and areas requiring additional attention.
- Prioritize work across multiple locations based on operational needs.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
