About The Position

Join the Police Department as a Parking Enforcement Officer and serve our citizens and businesses by using your strong complaint resolution and compliance monitoring skills. This position will enforce parking ordinances on foot, bicycle or by vehicle in the downtown central business district and throughout the City, issue citations for violations, assist with traffic control, and meet with downtown merchants to hear concerns. This role requires providing professional customer service to the public. This is a 40-hour workweek position with benefits. Requirements

  • A High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year of customer service or dispute resolution experience
  • Oregon Driver’s License – Class C
  • Law Enforcement Data System Certificate will be required within 90 days of appointment

Nice To Haves

  • Some college-level coursework in criminal justice or a related field is preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job
