About The Position

The Parking Enforcement Agent provides operational support through upholding and enforcing the local parking ordinances while assisting customers with parking needs. The Parking Enforcement Agent will utilize a handheld device to manually enter license plates to verify payment of the vehicles. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age
Possess a valid driver's license
Be able to read, write, and speak English.
High school or GED required
Ability to mitigate and lead others to overcome challenges (Never Ever Give Up Attitude).
Ability to work independently and multi-task.
Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and standard business practices.
Demonstrate a sense of urgency and timeliness.
Must be open to feedback, differing opinions and other points of view.
Ability to handle challenging and at times, emotionally charged situations.
Ability to speak, read, and comprehend the English language.
Must be able to make decisions independently and stay firm on decisions made (not easily persuaded).

Nice To Haves

A minimum of 6 months of outdoor work experience is preferred.
General knowledge of streets and directions is preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor parking lots/garages for vehicles in violation of parking ordinances by following an assigned route.
Patrol assigned areas on foot and/or in a vehicle to enforce regulations in the City of Nashville pursuant to the Nashville Municipal Code and the Tennessee Vehicle Code.
Issue handwritten and computer-generated parking fee notices and transfer such data to centralized system.
Maintain a high public visibility and have constant interaction with the public.
Regularly communicate general information regarding fee notices issuance, parking regulations, notice adjudication, and Nashville geographics.
Adhere to all policies, procedures, and directives of LAZ Parking and the City of Nashville.
Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
Work under general supervision and typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
Maintain and care for all company issued equipment.
Assist with any special assignments and projects as requested.
Other related duties as assigned.
