About The Position

The Parking Enforcement position is responsible for ensuring garages are maintained and cleaned daily. This role involves monitoring assigned locations, issuing fee notices to vehicles when appropriate, and ensuring all parkers are compliant with regulations. The position requires a willingness to travel by foot to enforce regulations throughout the assigned garage and to report concerns or needs to a direct supervisor. The Parking Enforcement Officer is expected to be in the correct LAZ Parking uniform, on time, and ready to work when scheduled. This role also includes general light maintenance of the garage and surface lots, such as sweeping, wiping down surfaces and equipment, emptying trash, and picking up litter. A key aspect of the job is ensuring all daily duties on the maintenance checklist are completed efficiently and timely. Promoting good customer relations through premier customer satisfaction, a friendly demeanor, a can-do attitude, and a willingness to help is essential. The role may also involve providing vehicle assistance to customers and assisting them as needed over the intercom system, in lobbies, lanes, and in the parking office. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

  • Driver's license is required
  • Minimum of 2 years Lot Enforcement experience
  • Experience with general facility maintenance required
  • Experience in customer relations
  • Cleaning experience along with outdoor housekeeping
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively
  • Ability to handle challenging and at times, emotionally charged situations
  • Must be able to work unsupervised
  • Ability to speak, read, and comprehend the English language
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency and timeliness
  • Excellent team building and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift, push and pull at least 30 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time
  • Ability bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift
  • Ability to operate machinery including a golf cart
  • Ability to work outside in varying weather conditions (heat, rain, cold)

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
  • Parking industry experience is preferred but not required.
  • Janitorial, laborer, housekeeping, cleaning, maintenance, porter experience is preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Strong Customer service experience preferred
  • Parking and/or hospitality industry experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the assigned garage is maintained and cleaned daily.
  • Monitor assigned locations.
  • Give out fee notices to vehicles when it is appropriate and ensure all parkers are compliant.
  • Must be willing to travel by foot to enforce throughout the assigned garage.
  • Ensure all parkers are compliant in time zones.
  • Report concerns or needs to direct supervisor if directly asked or in the case of an emergency.
  • Be in correct LAZ Parking uniform, on time, and ready to work when scheduled.
  • Responsible for general light maintenance of the garage and surface lots – sweeping, wiping down surfaces and equipment, emptying trash, picking up trash, etc.
  • Responsible for ensuring all daily duties on maintenance checklist are completed efficiently and timely.
  • Greet customers using names, be responsive and timely with correspondence and problem resolution, and display a caring attitude, develop a rapport with the customer base.
  • Provide vehicle assistance to customers in garage.
  • Assist customers as needed over intercom system, in lobbies, lanes, and in the parking office.
  • Promote good customer relations by consistently providing premier customer satisfaction with a friendly demeanor, can-do attitude, and willingness to help at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
