About The Position

Parking Attendants report to the Security Supervisor over parking. They drive and park patient, visitor, medical staff, and employee vehicles safely and help manage parking using cones, signage, and directions to drivers. The role requires following direction, attention to detail, clear verbal and email communication, flexibility in response to changing traffic conditions and parking congestion, and reporting unusual occurrences to appropriate individuals. Attendants enforce established hospital policies and procedures. Key dimensions include professional commitment, interpersonal skills, safety, and positive public and customer relations. The role requires working in all types of weather and passing orientation and assigned competencies.

Requirements

• Ability to drive both standard and automatic vehicles.
• Basic computer skills and strong verbal communication.
• Good customer service skills.
• Must pass orientation and assigned competencies.
• Valid California driver’s license.
• Acceptable driving record of three points or less.
• Participation in the DMV pull-notice program.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as a parking attendant or valet.
• Clear handwriting and good spelling.
• Ability to multitask.
• Scheduling flexibility.
• High school diploma, G.E.D., or a combination of education and relevant work experience.
