Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
One (1) year of related experience may substitute for education.
Must pass a thorough criminal history screening and have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Nice To Haves

Driver's license required, Class A CDL preferred.
Previous related experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Operates vehicles and powered equipment; completes mowing and snow removal; applies chemicals and spreads fertilizers, herbicides and soil amendments; mulches tree beds, plants trees and flowers; aerates and seeds landscaping; trims and prunes shrubs and trees; repairs soil erosion.
Performs various tasks requiring equipment, vehicle, and tool operation; uses a variety of small and large tools and operates a variety of light and medium duty equipment and attachments including tractors, trucks, dump trucks, skid steer loader, water trucks, excavator, power broom, and snow removal equipment; performs general and routine maintenance of light and medium duty equipment.
Performs various arboriculture tasks such as tree removal, pruning, planting and maintaining newly planted trees requiring the use of chainsaws, pole saws, chippers, stump grinders, and aerial lifts.
Performs basic maintenance duties such as plumbing, electrical, basic construction; maintains asphalt and concrete trails; builds, fixes, and maintains fencing; completes basic preventative maintenance on buildings and equipment.
Completes paperwork, timesheets and equipment logs using computerized system; follows purchasing card guidelines.
