About The Position

Performs unskilled and semi-skilled manual labor related to the maintenance, cleaning, and upkeep of an outdoor park and its amenities. Responsibilities include maintaining multipurpose fields, cleaning and servicing park restrooms, and maintaining parking lots, walking paths, benches, pavilions, playgrounds, fitness stations, splash pads, and other common areas. Duties also include trash removal, basic groundskeeping, and minor repairs. Operates power tools, landscaping equipment, and mechanical cleaning equipment as needed. Work involves physically demanding tasks performed in outdoor environments, including exposure to heat, rain, humidity, noise, and other environmental conditions. Requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.

Requirements

Some experience in building/industrial cleaning required
Valid Florida driver license required
Ability to read, write, and follow instructions
Ability to work without close supervision once tasks are learned
Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, often under hot and humid environmental conditions
Ability to climb stairs and use ladders
Ability to lift 50 pounds with or without accommodation
Ability to operate pressure washer, EZ-GO, and lawnmower

Background in building repair and/or construction is preferred
