Your New Role: As a permanent, full-time Park Specialist, you will provide confidential secretarial support and perform administrative work for park management including providing accounting, payroll and human resources support for both internal and external customers in a positive and welcoming environment.

Requirements

  • Two (2) years of experience as an administrative or program support specialist.
  • Interpretation of laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Administrative data collection and analysis.
  • Evaluation and explanation of administrative processes, operations, or projects.
  • Criminal record and driving record check must be completed that meets OPRD Criteria at the time of hire, and throughout employment.
  • Maintaining a valid driver’s license.

  • Experienced in a reception setting, providing clear, communication and smooth interactions with visitors, staff, and external contacts.
  • Effectively explaining laws, rules, and policies related to programs, operations, or services, while maintaining a positive attitude and creating a welcoming environment.
  • Quickly acquires new skills, adjusts priorities to changing tasks and competing deadlines, and adapts to seasonal demands and fluctuating park needs.
  • Strong work ethic and organizational skills, meeting deadlines, identifying challenges, and implementing solutions to ensure efficient operations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Outlook, Word), payroll, and financial systems.
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly to improve workflow and processes.
  • Ability to work with and quickly learn medium-complex coding and billing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide confidential secretarial support and perform administrative work for park management.
  • Provide accounting, payroll and human resources support for both internal and external customers.
  • Maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.
  • Fulfill office coordination responsibilities.
  • Process HR and Payroll forms, payables and receivables, monthly invoices and statements, travel reimbursements, I-9 verification, employee onboarding.
  • Distribute and track issued equipment, keys, uniforms etc.
  • Gather and organize data efficiently.
  • Support asset inventory programs.
  • Compose clear and concise emails to respond to inquiries, provide instructions, and create procedures or training materials.
